A technician who accepts 20 bookings and completes 20, always communicates proactively, and consistently receives strong producer ratings will have a near-perfect Reliability Score. A technician who accepts 20 bookings, completes 17, cancels 2 on short notice, and has one no-show will have a materially lower score — regardless of how impressive their reel is.
Why it matters more than your reel
A reel is a sample of your best work under ideal conditions. A Reliability Score is a record of your behavior under real working conditions across an extended period. Producers — especially repeat clients and production companies doing multiple shows per year — learn very quickly that a remarkable reel attached to an unreliable person is not a hire they want to make twice.
