Crewboo was founded by AV industry veterans who were tired of the same problem: great technicians going unbookied because producers couldn’t find them, and great producers losing shows because their crew fell through. We built the platform we always wished existed.
Why we built this
The live events industry moves fast. A call comes in on a Wednesday for a Friday load-in, and the producer needs six verified technicians — sound, lighting, video, rigging — by end of day. The old way was a chain of text messages, a mental Rolodex, and a lot of crossed fingers.
We watched talented technicians miss bookings because no one could find them. We watched producers pay premium rates for unknown crew because their trusted people weren’t available. And we watched money leak out of the industry at every step — held up in invoice chasing, late payments, and agencies taking 30% margins.
Crewboo changes that. Every technician on the platform is manually reviewed — credentials verified, reliability scored, show history confirmed. Every payment goes through escrow and releases on show completion. Every booking is protected.
We are not a gig economy app. We are a professional network — the kind where your reputation matters, your crew circle travels with you, and the best opportunities come through people who already trust you.

Crewboo is a small, focused team of engineers, designers, and AV industry veterans based in the United States. We have collectively worked on thousands of shows — from corporate conferences and broadcast productions to touring concerts and stadium events.
